Kingforce Keypad Deadbolt Electronic Lock Review

We liked the design of the keypad in general, it has a simple and stylish structure. There is a soft and easy-to-press feel of the keys when you press them. We do not believe it will have wear off very quickly.

When you press the lock button on the keypad, the door starts to lock automatically. Backlit on the keypad is activated when you press any key and provides an extremely bright illumination for both day and night use. We can say that its backlit brightness is one the best that we have ever seen so far.

On the underside of the keypad, there is a keyhole for you to use your key in emergency situations. There is a LED indicator at the top which changes color when there is an operation on the keypad. Overall design of the Kingforce Keypad Deadbolt Electronic Lock is very solid and heavy duty.

Weather Conditions

Since we did not have the chance to test the Kingforce Keypad Deadbolt Electronic Lock for a long time, we only did some experiments by simulating a rainy environment. As far as we can see, as long as it is not exposed to direct rain for a long time, it will work without any problems. There is rubber seal which protects the lock from rain and water.

We tried to reach some users of Kingforce Keypad Deadbolt Electronic Lock to confirm if it will work well as we expected, and according to the answers we have reached, there is not really a big problem in rainy weather. In addition, we could not get information about any problems in cold and hot weather.

Similar product Hugolog Electronic Keypad Deadbolt Lock has IP54 certificate so it was resistant for weather conditions and expected to work at -4°F to 131°F (-20°C to 55°C) but Kingforce Keypad Deadbolt Electronic Lock does not have IP54 certificate.

Auto Lock

With automatic locking, you can fully automate the locking process of your door. As we have stated in all our reviews, we all use the automatic locking feature on the smart locks on the doors of all members of our team. Thanks to the convenience of automatic locking, we can all say that we have taken out the locking process from our lives.

Kingforce Keypad Deadbolt Electronic Lock has an automatic locking option between 3 and 30 seconds. We tested it over and over again by selecting intervals of 3, 8, 15 and 24 seconds, and each time the door was locked automatically after the time defined tine passes over the unlocking.

It is a feature that we definitely recommend to use. The only thing you need to pay attention to is to make sure that your door is completely closed before the automatic locking process starts. If you don’t want use this feature, you can set auto lock timer to 0 second.

User Codes

There are 50 user code memories in total. For each user, you have to choose a user location in memory and enter the code that way. In other words, in order to enter the code in the 4th place of the memory, you have to specify it as 04 during programming.

Kingforce Keypad Deadbolt Electronic Lock has default user code of 123456 and the default master user code of 123456 as out of the box. The first thing you should do before installing this electronic lock on your door should be to change the master code. User codes that you will program into the system must be between 4 and 9 digits.

The programming phase was not very complicated for us. However, in our opinion, some users may experience minor problems because the number of keys that need to be pressed during the programming is higher than the similar electronic lock’s user programming process.

Unfortunately, there is no temporary and recurring code options at Kingforce Keypad Deadbolt Electronic Lock as it is not a smart lock. Additionally, one time usage code is also not supported. This obviously upset us a little bit because one time usage code is a feature that is really useful. If there was a one time usage code, you would have the chance to give a usercode that will be deleted after a single use instead of giving a permanent code to people who need to enter your home one time during the day. That’s why we see this as a lack.

We want to share some similar products with one time usage code. You can check OrangeIOT Electronic Keypad Deadbolt Lock Review, Signstek Electronic Keypad Lever Door Lock Review and HUGOLOG Electronic Keypad Deadbolt Lock Review.

We are sharing Kingforce Keypad Deadbolt Electronic Lock installation manual which has programming steps at pages 9 and 10. You can find the user manual at here.

Battery Life of Kingforce Keypad Deadbolt Electronic Lock

Undoubtedly, one of the most important issues is battery life. Nobody wants to have an electronic lock on their door which will open up battery costs every month. 4 AA Alkaline batteries required for use are not included in the box of Kingforce Keypad Deadbolt Electronic Lock. You can get maximum battery life if you use quality batteries such as Duracell – CopperTop AA.

We would like to point out that battery quality is not the only factor that directly affects the total battery life. Many factors such as the condition of the door used, the weather conditions, frequency of use, activated features have a direct effect. As a result of our own tests and the information we receive from customers who own Kingforce Keypad Deadbolt Electronic Lock, you will need to replace the battery in an average of 6+ months. This is not a bad battery life.

When battery gets low, low battery indicator will warn you. When you activate the lock you will hear beeps and LED flashes red for 5 seconds. After receiving a low battery warning, the battery won’t run out immediately, but we recommend that you replace the batteries without wasting too much time.

Kingforce Keypad Deadbolt Electronic Lock works until the batteries drop to 4.3V, but when it is 4.3V the system shuts down. In case you forget to change the batteries, you have the chance to open your door with your existing key. Also at the bottom of the lock there is a microUSB input port. By using this port, you can temporarily power the electronck lock and unlock your door. User codes in memory are not erased when the batteries are dead.

There is a weird case about battery replacement of Kingforce Keypad Deadbolt Electronic Lock. Normally the battery replacement procedure is designed to be very easy, but there is a difficulty while closing the cover of the interior unit. In order to change the batteries, all you have to do is to remove the inner cover and replace the batteries in the slot in front of you, then close the inner cover. You may need to try many times while closing the inner cover. You may have to push it hard and snap it into place and try this a few times. Such a result was probably due to a design problem with the plastic mold. Other than this problem, it is a process of totally 1 minute.
